Plant-Based Sourdough Specialists now open on New Street

Ashford’s thriving food scene has a fresh addition - Docker Bakery opened its doors on 1st October

The move sees the acclaimed Kent-based business, famous for its plant-based sourdough breads, pastries, and seasonal delights, expand from its Folkestone Harbour Arm origins to one of Kent’s most rapidly developing towns.

Established from humble beginnings, Docker Bakery has built a strong reputation for quality, flavour, and craftsmanship. Their exclusively plant-based menu, featuring sourdough, sweet and savoury pastries, and a range of seasonal treats, has garnered widespread community support, fuelling the company’s growth across Kent.

Coffee enthusiasts can look forward to specialty brews served in collaboration with Margate’s Curve Coffee Roasters, renowned for their small-batch roasting expertise.

Opening in Ashford feels like a natural step for us,” commented Wes Burden, co-founder of Docker Bakery. “It’s a town with incredible momentum, and we’re proud to be contributing to that growth. Ashford has a buzzing food culture, and we can’t wait to share our bread and coffee with a new community.”

Residents and visitors are encouraged to follow dockerbakery on Instagram for the latest updates and announcements from the bakery.
