Spring is here at last and the market will be bustling with over 15 stalls, brimming with local food, handmade items of all sorts and delicious goodies for you to stock up on. This month the Farmers’ Market comes packed with Live music, children's crafts and a Cafe at the heart of it where you can relax and soak up the sunshine.
This month the Bandstand takes centre stage with performances from Duettes who will be taking us back in time. We have a special busking zone this month too, provided by David Archer an accomplished local musician playing popular acoustic numbers on behalf of Cancer Research. David is travelling around Markets and Community events along with the Team raising awareness of the research they are doing into this terrible disease along with raising money for this amazing cause.
There will be a Children’s corner curated by Sam from Dreamshapes who will be keeping the little ones entertained with fun foam-clay crafts.
A new exciting trader this May is Food Junkies, a vegan stall selling soft cheeses, savoury pastries, cheesecake, carrot cake, banana cake, pasta, ravioli and jars of vegan chutneys.
We welcome back all our stalwart existing Traders with their amazing fayre, award winning products and smiling faces. Fresh meat from Ritoweg Farm and game from Stour Valley will surely make you want to get the BBQ out.
Enjoy the exotic flavours of Soul Food provided by Janet and her team, Jolof rice and Goat curry will be in plentiful supply.
Shop some international delights from The French Delicatessen and hand proved artisan bread from Gary’s Artisan Bakery, delicious Italian treats at Enzo’s Bakery, delicious honey by St Annes’s Apiary and the award winning fudge at The Fudgeman. They will all be there with a host of mouth watering treats to fill your bags.
Don’t forget there’s also FREE parking in Edinburgh Road, Station Road and Flour Mills car park all day.
You can keep up-to-date with the latest news about the Farmers’ Market and other town centre events on the Love Ashford website or on Facebook at Ashford Farmers’ Market.
