This June, not only will our monthly market be brimming with local traders selling their fresh, home-grown produce, but this Sunday will also see the launch of the brand new Ashford Heritage Trail.
The market will take place this Sunday, 5th June between 10am and 2pm on the cobbles of the Lower High Street and will be packed with traders selling seasonal, tasty fruits and vegetables, as well as rare breed meats.
Head over to the Heritage Stall for the launch of the Ashford Heritage Trail which takes visitors on a journey through history as they discover heritage sites around the town centre. Book onto a free guided tour, sample Mead from Romney Marsh Brewery and learn about interesting artifacts from Ashford Borough Museum.
This month the market will also welcome The Little Teapot, who will be opening a permanent residence in Park Mall in July. The family-run teashop will be offering up tasty samples of their homemade cakes, light lunch bites and a variety of freshly brewed tea. They will also be handing out special flyers offering visitors a free hot drink when they open next month.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth then why not buzz over to St Anne’s Apiary to pick up some fresh local honey and see hundreds of bumblebees making honey in a live bee display.
Make a pit stop with a great cup of coffee from Hormozi Coffee and pick up a delicious buttery croissant or muffin from Jay’s Breakfast Hut to kick start your day!
Plus there will also be music from award-winning singer and guitarist, Sarah Lucy Dole, as well as DJ Gideon who will be playing classic 50’s and 60’s tunes on Vinyl.
