Great British Sewing Bee 2016 winner Charlotte Newland joins us for a weekend workshop where you can learn how to fit and sew your own jeans. Students will make a toile and adjust their fit on the first day, then the next two days are spent making the jeans, including interesting extras like top stitching the back pockets and adding rivets.

It’s time to move and groove in these fun Salsa sessions from Caribou Dance! Learn Cuban Salsa while keeping fit, making new friends and building confidence. The next course of classes starts 17th February.

Kent Adult Education is located at the Ashford Gateway and offers an excellent variety of creative workshops. Upcoming courses include:
Immerse yourself in medieval calligraphy and illumination, with a pen-written modern gothic script and decorated capitals. Learn the broad edged pen and cover the basics of writing a formal script, using ink and colour, and how to approach the basic design elements. Each student will have the opportunity to select a project to work on, and to produce a gothic inspired calligraphic design of their choice.

Learn how to manipulate images on your computer using Photoshop Elements. You’ll discover how to resize and re-touch photographs, create layers and special effects, plus save and export images for publishing in a wide range of formats.
