We all know that juggling kids, a family, a household and a social life can be a tough old job and for most busy mums and dads, grabbing a coffee with friends can be trickier than it sounds!
If this sounds familiar and you haven’t yet heard of the Hub in the Park Mall Ashford, then it’s about time you did ...
Every Wednesday between 10:00am - 11:30am, volunteers from Gateway Church meet in at the Hub to bring together mums, dads, grandparents, carers and pre-schoolers for Coffee & Play.
Here the kids have access to a room full of toys and activities whilst the adults are welcomed with a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits. The volunteers even work in a wind-down session with story-time and songs and a light snack for the kids too as they join in and interact with the group.
Chat with like-minded parents, watch the little ones play or join in the fun as you get to know other local families and make new friends.
Robyn, a local writer and mum who is new to Ashford said,
Coffee & Play is a haven for parents with pre-school children & new mums too. It’s a friendly environment and a great chance to get out of the house and meet new people.
All the volunteers from Gateway Church are fantastic and beyond welcoming and love to see new faces taking part in Coffee & Play. Set right in the heart of town, it’s a great chance to kick back with a cuppa and meet other mummies and daddies who understand how rare the opportunity can be.
Coffee & Play meet every Wednesday at 10:00am until 11:30pm during term-time only. Pop into the Hub to find out what other great services the Ashford Gateway Church have to offer too; including Community English Speaking Classes and Ladies Recipe and Dinner evenings!
