After much anticipation, the line-up for Ashford’s annual Create Festival was announced by event organisers at the end of last week.
On Saturday 23rd July, Victoria Park on Jemmett Road will once again host one of the South East’s biggest free music festivals.
The line-up for the day is now available but following on from the success of last year’s headliner Adam Ant, headline acts for each stage are still being kept under wraps.
The popular event will host a packed programme of music with over 40 local bands, acts, solo performers, choirs and DJ’s performing throughout the day.
The Create Main Stage, sponsored by Ashford College, includes popular favourites Riskee & The Ridicule, Old Town Souls and Slam Cartel.
Ashford College Main Stage:
The brand new Fountain Stage sponsored this year by Right Track Music will showcase a whole host of up-and-coming musicians that emerge from the local school, as well as community groups, choirs and young local talent.

A if there wasn’t enough to sink your teeth into, Create will also be hosting two warm-up gigs at Revelation St Mary’s in the run-up to the festival itself.
Festival organiser, Chris Dixon says:
"We are so happy with the line-up so far, and we were blown away with the huge amount of applications we received to play at this year’s festival. All entries were judged by a panel of music experts including radio DJ’s, creative directors, venue managers and music promoters, all of which were very impressed by the high standard of acts. - See more at: https://www.loveashford.com/re..."
After appealing to the general public earlier this year for local talent to apply to play at the festival, Chris went on to explain,
"With only around 40 slots available on the day, it was a tough decision selecting the acts and getting the mix right. However, we are committed to keeping all the applicants on file to see whether we can help get them high profile support slots at St Mary’s, programmed in on the Town Centre bandstand and other opportunities. - See more at: https://www.loveashford.com/re..."
