In April 2014, Business in the Community (BITC) launched it's Healthy High Street programme, and now in it's third year the campaign has welcomed Ashford as one of it's selected one-hundred high streets.

The BITC programme contributes intensive support for high streets by providing access to business expertise and resources, often through mentoring and business development.

The programme is supported by high street names including Boots, Marks & Spencer, Wilko, Greggs, and Santander, to name a few, working together to drive town centre footfall, increase town centre sales, create job opportunities and help to retain a sense of pride in the high street.

The programme, which launched this June, sees its first event hosted by the Healthy High Street team this Saturday, 18th June. Join Wilko staff on the high street next to the bandstand for a special Father's Day kids competition!
