If you didn’t make it down to this month Ashford Farmers’ Market, then you missed the perfect place to spend this weekend’s sunny Sunday!
The September market saw some regular traders back on Ashford’s lower high street, but also some new faces were welcomed among the stallholders too.
Naturally Wild Game introduced us to their rather tasty rabbit and venison burgers, cooked up fresh on the grill. We also said ‘hello’ to Box Coffee who kept our shoppers going with their fresh tasting coffee and bacon sarnies!
The street-food kept on coming too; The Gentleman’s’ Fine Food Co. cooked up some tasty pulled pork buns along with their hot sausage rolls and pastries, whilst Jay’s Nigerian Street Food served up great tasty dishes for those looking to try something different.
We were also lucky to have Dream Shapes back on the market this month, keeping the little one’s entertained with fun crafts. Plus Thomas Cookie Co. were back with a bang, wowing market shoppers with some great new cookie recipes including mango, macadamia, coconut and white chocolate and also pistachio, dark chocolate and smoked sea salt.
As ever, PJ’s Farm Shop blew us away with their range of fresh seasonal fruit and veg, plus free range eggs and great local juices too.
The sun shined on us all day long as Ashford shoppers bagged some great goodies and took in the acoustic sounds of Nathan J Walker, who accompanied us with a light-hearted set.
